Hazardous Materials Management

乐播传媒app最新版本 (乐播传媒app最新版本) is required by the state and federal laws to be responsible to track chemicals from the time they are purchased and arrived on the campus, to the time they leave the campus; this is known as the 鈥渃radle to grave鈥 process. Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) is a public law that created a management tool for hazardous and non-hazardous disposed solid waste (solids, liquids and gases). RCRA requires that all generators and hazardous waste must be tracked and recorded. This means the record of waste production, 鈥渃radle鈥 and where, including how, it is stored and shipped, as well as where the waste 鈥済rave鈥 will be transported to for disposal, must also be tracked and recorded.

Risk & Safety Solutions

Risk & Safety Solutions (RSS) is a data-base management tool that tracks chemicals from 鈥渃radle to grave鈥. As chemicals arrive on the campus, they are uploaded into the software program by using a QR scanning code. The chemicals are transferred to a location for lab use until the time for hazardous-waste disposal. RSS allows the Office of Safety & Risk Management to electronically track the chemicals and record the production for compliance. 乐播传媒app最新版本 is embracing the technological advances that will facilitate chemical handling and assist the campus executives to participate in the decision-making for the safeguarding of our community.

Assessment

This tool allows Responsible Persons (RP)/Principal Investigators (PI) to identify hazards related to their research and share this and other critical safety information about these hazards with the members of their lab.

Chemicals

A chemical inventory management tool that uses a barcoding system to quickly add chemicals to an inventory. It includes a library of chemicals that are referenced to populate chemical details, like hazards and first aid information. Chemicals is available in a phone app as well as for tablet or desktop.

Inspect

A flexible, customizable tool that manages the scheduling, completion and long-term tracking of safety inspections. It is available for phones, tablets and desktops.

HazWaste Disposal

The Office of Safety & Risk Management (SRM) provides direct service for chemical pick-up and waste disposal. This service is provided at no cost to the Department for routine disposal of hazardous chemicals. According to statutes, any chemical that exceeds twice its shelf life or is no longer usable for its intended purpose is deemed hazardous waste; therefore, as soon as possible arrangements must be made for its disposal.

Biohazard Waste Pickup

Biohazard waste is picked up by Prime Medical once a month. If you need to schedule any additional pickups please contact the Office of Safety & Risk Management at 661-654-6320 or send an email to srm@csub.edu.
