Connecting

Any user whose home campus also provides eduroam access can connect to the eduroam SSID we provide with their home credentials.

Examples

  • Select 'eduroam' from the list of networks
  • Enter your full 乐播传媒app最新版本 email address as the username in the format <netid>@csub.edu
  • Enter your 乐播传媒app最新版本 password
  • Accept prompts to connect to this network.

If your device was configured by on campus automatically then you don't need to do anything further to connect to any eduroam connection.

If you need to manually connect at a remote location:

  • Our users can connect to any eduroam SSID by entering their normal netid credentials
  • Username MUST BE <netid>@csub.edu
  • Before taking a trip to a participating campus, please connect your device to the local EduRoam network on the 乐播传媒app最新版本 campus and verify connectivity.  If you face difficulties please contact the Helpdesk, so that they may assist you in resolving all connection issues on your device. 

Visitor from participating campus on 乐播传媒app最新版本 Campus

  • Visiting users should already know how to connect
  • If all settings match but their password is rejected they must contact their home institution IT
  • username should be <name>@<institution domain>

Troubleshooting

Unable to Connect

  • Remove the eduroam profile for your network settings and connect to 乐播传媒app最新版本.

For iOS

  • Forget the network.
    • Settings -> Wi-Fi
    • Click the i (with the circle around it)
    • Forget this network
  • Restart your iPhone/iPad.
  • Reconnect to the network.
    • Settings -> Wi-Fi
    • Select eduroam under "Choose a network"
    • Enter credentials netid@csub.edu and password
    • Accept untrusted Certificate

For Android

  1. On your Android device, go to Settings, then tap Wireless & networks, then Wi-Fi settings.
  2. Tap eduroam.
  3. Make sure that for EAP method, PEAP is selected.
  4. Tap Phase 2 authentication, and then select MSCHAPV2.
  5. Enter:
    Username: Your <netid>@csub.edu.
    Password: Your NetID password.
    CA certificate and User certificate are both Unspecified.
  6. Tap Connect.
  7. If asked to accept the certificate, click Yes.
