Rebecka Zepeda

Ms. Rebecka Zepeda is a new Tenure Track Faculty for Biology at Bakersfield College. She will be participating in the Faculty Diversification Fellowship Program alongside her Faculty Mentor, Chad Newton.

Rebecka's teaching experience includes almost 5 years of teaching as first a Graduate Teaching Assistant and eventually a full-time lecturer for the Biology Department at 乐播传媒app最新版本, while also working for BC as an adjunct Biology Professor since 2017. Rebecka strives to find new innovative ways of teaching and incorporating technology in the classroom in order to reach as many students as possible and increase student success.

BIO

Born and raised in East Bakersfield, California, Rebecka takes pride in serving her own community, especially as a first-generation Hispanic college student. After graduating from East Bakersfield High School, Rebecka went on to receive her B.A in Human Biology in 2014 and M.S. in Biology in 2016, both at CSU Bakersfield.
