Cal Grant Students with Dependents

Cal Grant eligible students that indicated they have a dependent on the FAFSA or Dream Act application are automatically flagged for the by the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC). The student must self-certify each school year that they have a qualifying dependent under the age of 18 on their WebGrants for Students account through CSAC.

Students who feel they are eligible for the award but were not flagged as a potential SWD awardee by CSAC may contact the Cal Grant coordinator in the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships to have their file reconsidered.
