Welcome to the Dual Enrollment Program

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½app×îа汾 has partnered with three high school districts including— the Kern High School District, Delano Joint Union High School District, and Chaffey Joint Union High School District—to offer qualified high school students the opportunity to earn college-credit for Dual Enrollment courses successfully completed at their respective high school site.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½app×îа汾 Currently offers Dual Enrollment courses in Mathematics (MATH), French (FREN), Business Administration (BA), Geology (GEOL), Kinesiology (KINE), and Management Information Systems (MIS).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Students are allowed to take up to 6 units.  
  • Typically, Dual Enrollment is reserved for high school juniors and seniors.  However, if the high school counselor identifies a freshman or sophomore who is qualified to take course, an exception may be requested.  To submit a request for an exception, please email Kris Grappendorf (Kgrappendorf@csub.edu).
  • Grades earned through the Dual Enrollment program are included in the student's academic record.
  • Credits earned may be applied to degree programs at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½app×îа汾 or may be transferred to other universities.

 

DID YOU KNOW  

  • In 2024, the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½app×îа汾 Dual Enrollment Program was recognized at the California School Recognition Program (CSRP) Ceremony by the California Department of Education (CDE) for ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½app×îа汾's "Exemplary Work in Dual Enrollment" (notably 2 of only 9 such awards given statewide). 
  • In 2022-2023, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½app×îа汾 had the largest Dual Enrollment programming within the 23-campus California State University (CSU) System.
  • In 2023-2024, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½app×îа汾 had the second largest Dual Enrollment programming within the 23-campus California State University (CSU) system.

Enrollment Process

  1. Students interested in the Dual Enrollment Program should contact their respective high school to inquire about the availability of courses. The high school counselors and/or course teacher will work with the students to submit their application and registration through a new online system. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½app×îа汾 is now using dualenroll.com for the application and reigstration for dual enrollment courses.
